Category: accessible Devices
are there any accessible recorders that exist that you can record off AM/FM radio?
MP3 320, and the recorder must have a tellascoping antenna for FM reception.
I'm not interested in something that has a line-in ware you'd have to hook another radio into it.
So far for recording radio I'm still using cassette, but perhaps another option exists out there.
Thanks!
Hi John,
I use my Booksense more recently to record radio. I also use tapes for recording radio still.

Hey Dawniele,
i've heard of the booksense.
does that have a line-in, or can you record direct from a built-in tuner in FM Stereo ?
Also, does it have a tellascoping FM antenna ?
Thanks,
John
Hey John,
You just record with it like you would a walkman. You go to the radio function, press the record button, and a beep sounds to tell you it's recording. It's got a mic jacc which doubles as a line-in, i think, but when you're done, you just transfer the files to either an SD card and put them on your computer, or transfer them via USB cord like you would any other hard drive. As for the telescoping antenna, no it doesn't have one. You just plug headphones into it, in order for it to get reception. It records in MP3, too.

Dawnielle
Hey Dawnielle,
Thanks for the suggestion, but this is not what i'm looking for.
A telascoping antenna is a must.
John
Hi John,
Hmmm, well, I don't know then. out of curiosity, why do you want the telescoping antenna? That's the only thing I know that can rcord radio, unfortunately.

Dawnielle
Dawnielle,
i'll leave it running in a portible place. if i used headphone wire for reception, as soon as i took the headphones out of my ears, the reception could be interpheared with. not to mention just a slight movement of the wire could make the station get all static, too.
besides, a tellascoping antenna is better for long-ranged reception, anyway.
John
John,
That makes sense. Got it. I hardly ever take headphones off when I'm recording, so that's why the headphone thing works for me. I hope you can find something. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Take care,
Dawnielle
Dawnielle,
on top of all that, sometimes i'll put it down on the flore of a car when i go out someware for an hour or so, and unplug the headphones and put them someware so that i dont step on them when i get back into the car.
I just use a sleep timer on the boombox i use for the most part, so as to not run my batteries down.
thanks for trying to help,
John
